Blow off valve question

Anyone know at what point is the stock intake bypass valve not is not able to keep up with the intake pressures? I'm trying to avoid a $250 add-on for something I probably am not going to want.

I don't know what the boost pressure limit is on the stock BOV but I do know from my BMW/Golf R/Alfa days numerous people complained about aftermarket ones leaking and not holding boost.

The 2.0 routinely runs 18-20 lbs of boost. I've never heard of anyone talking about the intake going overpressure somehow.

You don’t need anything Aftermarket
They will hold what you need. The factory stuff on these is pretty good.

No problem. I have my stock turbo maxed out. I have zero issues with factory hardware.

The people changing the stock valve for aftermarket are doing it mainly for sound.

They are adding a spacer that vents to atmosphere under the hood instead of the intake. The stock valve is still there. They just want to hear the whoosh!

Currently maxing out my turbo @26ish psi and no issues with the bov. If it makes you feel better the Maverick and 2.3L Corsair use the same bov even though it is running a larger turbo.
