A couple of days ago, I drove on a muddy dirt road. Truck had mud all over it, including the sensors under the side-view mirrors. The Blind Spot Information Indicator Icon on the dash turned on. Next day, I thoroughly washed the truck paying close attention to those sensors and the sensors in the bumpers. The icon remains illuminated. My truck is a 2025 Lariat hybrid. Any suggestions?

An update: I had no response on this forum, so I used AI. It told me to wash under the rear bumper. Did not solve it. I did the reset by locking the truck and leave it parked overnight. No luck. Finally, I went into the features menu and I found the BLIS turned off. I know I didn't turn it off. I first noticed the BLIS warning icon on the dash when driving on the muddy road, but maybe the BLIS was turned off during the last OTA update. Or, maybe, if the mud obsured the sensors, when the warning icon was turned on, the truck automatically turn BLIS off.

Anybody know? How about those of you who routinely drive off-road? Did anyone notice the icon illuminated after the last OTA update?

The blind spot sensors are on both ends of the rear bumper, not on the mirrors on my vehicle.
I've got them on my XL as it came with Copilot as an option.
If you had mud over the sensors, it will eliminate blind spot detection from operating.

I think the sensors you have on the mirrors might be for the Road Edge Detection, which is apparently standard on the 25 Lariat, but that's conjecture on my part.

If you are talking about the update for the towing module, I've had that done and no issues..
Maybe the system disabled it after the sensors stopped working due to them being covered.

I have the same issue after dinging my rear bumper. Sensor works fine - but dash light stays on.

I tried a reset as described in this AI video I posted a while back in a different thread. Did not work & have yet to try again.

If you clear yours, please update your post:)
