So my 11 year old Grandson scanned the QR code under the back seat and was able to get the blue print to 3D print this waste basket on their 3 D printer. He said it took 11 hours. Fits like a glove.

Yes he’s a whiz at that stuff. He showed me on his phone at Thanksgiving dinner that he started it with his phone and we weren’t at his house either. He brought it to me the next day for my birthday celebration. When I was his age I thought being technically savvy was writing 7734 on the calculator and flipping it upside down.

I tried to figure out what that T slot was for.

Theres a t slot under the seat also, its for a hook or something. Don’t see needing that under the seat.

I imagine your grandson got a kick out of the exercise, but I wonder what it cost his parents..
I'm sure there is sentimental value but for those without access to a 3D printer, a covered lid trash /double cupholder for the rear seat passengers can be had for $20.
The odd shaped fitting attaches to the back of the center console.
Especially for those with an XL that doesn't have the cup holders in the center fold down, it's a nice accessory.

Ah yes $20...made in China. More fun to do it at home. I have 3 engineering degrees and still can't get enough of it. And I'm retired !!! Tell him to keep going as long as he is having fun and working the brain box. If he can make one in green I'd be interested
