My July order was below list by a few hundred $. Signed up for Farm bureau $500 cash reward certificate. Got the former interest rate of 1.9%@60 mo. Truck is ready to be picked up this week.

[I was trying to reply to "Impatience is expensive" but the quote didn't work]

Is it, though? I mean, I'm sure folks will save money by waiting to order and getting their truck next year, and I should generally be less impulsive, but $3K today is not the same as $3K next year with these inflation numbers. (I paid $3K over msrp.)

When Ford opens up the orders for 2023 models, prices will be higher. So I can pay up and get one now, or wait and pay msrp next year? With inflation running ~ 6% then paying 9% over msrp doesn't sting so bad.

Side note: how did Angry Hippo get banned? lol

I like your logic! That's why I purchased my Ford ESP now. I doubt the prices will be lower next year.

Do they just make up the "retail price"? That's hilarious.
If they have XL Hybrids at 43K 'Retail'. will they buy my Hybrid XLT w/ Lux for 48?

Are any of you paying any Added Dealer Markups? I told my dealership flat out I wasn't going to pay any Dealer Markups and I wasn't going to pay any Non Refundable Deposits (Ok I admit that I paid a $300.00 "Refundable" Deposit but I've bought new vehicles from them since 1995 and they do all of our service work too) I'm just curious because I've seen posts of large Deposits AND Dealer Markups too. Ford and other Brands are moving to an online ordering process. I think Dealerships that don't get that and continue to try to screw their customers well be out of business in 5 years. What do you think?
Like they say Ford can't control what Dealers charge over MSRP but they can get their revenge for Dealers that go beyond the limits of a reasonable ADM by reducing their allocations all the way down to none for up to a year for their Greedy ways😉

Yes and on top of that Intrest rates aren't going down only up, so the cost if you have to finance your truck will only cost you more

Factory ordered my Maverick Hybrid directly from Ford in August and had it delivered to Charlotte County Ford, FL.. Arrived last Thursday. They tacked on $900 for pinstripe, window tint and ceramic coating which I agreed to reluctantly but turned out I was happy with it. Ford sent me a coupon worth $500 off which they honored. They didn’t try to pressure me for anything other than .%09 financing which I turned down since I was paying cash. Did have to sit through 15 min presentation on all the warranty packages which I also turned down since I’ll probably only put 5K a year mileage on the truck.
I am considering pinstriping on my alto blue to break up the profile a bit. Can you share pics of your pinstriping?
TIA

My dealer in Houston, Tommy Vaughn, did not markup anything - it was exactly as my online order build price. I did put down a $500 refundable down payment (I think it was refundable but I never considered changing my mind). I held my breath and was prepared for battle if they tried to add anything but was pleasantly surprised. They did offer the extended warranty and I bought the 8 year, 70K miles (or 7 years 80K miles? it's early here). I've been driving a 2003 and a 2005 for 15+ years, so I wanted a little extra coverage for all this new fangled technology :) .
The only pressure I got was from the non dealer - add on department. He and my wife wore me down to add Katzkin leather for $1200. He was going to find out about fender flares and lift.
I called him the next day to review the color choice in actual daylight. We used leather swatches he provided and chose new colors. He never found a lift kit or fender flares. I found them in a week with a little digging.
That's been since mid-January and I have yet to get my leather seats. He keeps saying they are back ordered, etc... but I called Katzkin and they could schedule me for install in 2 weeks.
So their guy is totally full of BS - I can't figure out his game but he hasn't cashed my check yet. I'll be getting it this week.

Glad to hear this about Tommie Vaughn (mostly). I plan to place an order with them once it opens up again.

Marvin Blanco was my sales guy. Super nice. Not as on the ball as I would have liked but maybe not everyone was as excited about my truck as I was! He quickly responded to all my texts and emails. I definitely recommend him!!

Aftermarket guy, Scott, not so much. I got my 2" Rough Country Lift at 4WParts by Astrodome and ordered my Bushwacker fender flares from RealTruck.com. I like the non-leather seats, so not sure if I'm going to go for leather.

Thanks!
I talked to Marvin a week or two back. Always helpful to have some positive feedback especially now with so many reports of bad dealers.
