I was skeptical of the plastic hardware too but in retrospect they don't rust up against my steel fenders and are easy enough to remove if they break. I expect they're gentler against the painted surfaces as well. Truth told I'd replace a broken one with another plastic part. That lower push pin is holding fine on mine but if it doesn't I'll go with one of these. They're called fender retainers or something like that.

Another complaint about RBs is rusting screws, mine have been on since last Oct and no rust.
Those turkeys at my marina just put down some fresh limestone :mad: so I had to hit it with the hose a couple days back to flush some of the white dust. One thing about those felt fender liners, they are quieter when the stones fling out of the tread :LOL:

Yea that's one of the main reasons I like those fender liners in the composite blend is because of how much quieter they are. I'm constantly hearing rocks hitting the rear wheel liners and the RB's.

It's on my list of things to do in the warmer upcoming weeks, but right now it's getting cold and raining again so I'm in no rush 🤣
