This is my best for under $100. Cost about $50.00. Its a commercial door mat that I cut around the wheel well. It's rubber backed and thick and works great. I've had the truck since last October.

My XLT came with one bed cubby on passenger side, added one to drivers side for $40+tax. Keeps road dirt off the back of tail light on that side. Moved the outlet to inside the new cubby. Also another cheap mod was the tailgate gap cover (rubber piece)

Hello there....nice work. Can you tell me where I can get the tailgate gap protector? Thanks

Thank you! I assume it will just flex open and closed and stay adhered.
I laid it out flat on back deck for a day to take the “roll” out of it. Then just cleaned the bed (spray liner) and tailgate with alcohol really well before trimming and applying it. Doesn’t stick as well to spray liner as it does to painted part of tailgate but so far it’s fine

Do all mavericks come with the flexbed cubby or only certain models? I got the peasant XL base everything model so not sure what I get in the bed lol
No Cubby in the XL. I had ordered two and sold one have the other for sale since I sold the Maverick. I would put it on the driver side to prevent garbage getting up in the void area by the driver side tail light.

Well, they are more than $100, but IMHO, the TuxMat's (Link to Hybrid ones and Ecoboost ones) have been my favorite floor liners out of them all for multiple vehicles now.
I really like the idea of TuxMats but I've been looking for a 5 year+ review to hear how they hold up over the long haul. Any chance you've owned a set for roughly ...a long time?

2 years is the max I've had them and I will say the looked much better than the Husky's and Weathertechs I had for shorter periods. They are without a doubt a much better material. Put it this way - the Husky's scratch like the Maverick interior lol. The X-act contours even being softer would turn brown so quickly with dirt and grime. It's like they attracted it.

At first I thought they were almost squishy, like a kitchen mat or something... but they aren't. Very durable, very easy to clean and flexible. Once the clips are in place just put them in spots that are easy enough to remove and will stay on the mats when you remove them to wash them off. Some 303 and a soft bristle brush every couple cleans and you are g2g. Even just hanging them in the wash bay and using the scrub brush cleans them up better than the Huskie's.

Just my opinion of course, but the coverage for the cost is worth it. Jeez... they should almost pay me to be a spokesperson at this rate...

I did write about them the TuxMat thread here.

But, again, over $100. For the front's it's $130 though, so if you only needed them you could just get the fronts.

Another benefit of the Tuxmats is that because of their large coverage, the front passenger floormat covers the fuse panel box where a lot of floormats fail to reach that high. That fuse panel box is right where people's feet tend to be and will get scratched up if you didn't have a Tuxmat to protect it.

Well this is good to know. Every time I read that they have a "luxurious finish" it makes me wonder if they compromised on durability for the sake of comfort.

Thanks so much for the extra info! Also - I noticed you've been all over MTC since arriving and adding loads of good info to the site. It's pretty easy to tell you've got some good experience in vehicle care & maintenance and I know a bunch of us really appreciate you sharing it here. Thanks!

Yea it's a flexible material that's hard to describe. Soft enough but still durable. Really interesting design.

I appreciate your feedback! Have a great day!

Have not seen anyone mention this yet, and maybe it is because people are spending too much for one, but for me it is a 100% necessary item for any vehicle: A DASH CAM!

This is the one I went with, I got it on sale in May for $89 and it always seems to ping-pong around on pricing from $99 to $129 with different weekly sales. You can buy cheaper ones for about $50 that are decent enough to CYA, and I think anything over the $150 price point tends to be overkill or trying to take advantage of people. I liken dash cams to sunscreen: SPF 30 is the bare minimum (functional 1080p $50 dash cam), SPF 50 is what you should use regularly ($100 range, reliable 2k recording at 60fps), SPF 70 if you're outside all day all the time ($200+, front & rear & driver-facing cameras if you use your vehicle professionally), and anything more than that you're just wasting your money.

Also, if you have a dog, a rear seat protector! I pulled this off the Wal-Mart shelf for $50 because I liked the look of it. The door protectors fit decently enough with just the window insert tabs and not bothering with the adhesive tape. I would bet there are probably better quality options out there, but I'm not too discerning when it comes to that; I just wanted some basic protection and dog hair mitigation.

Lastly, I just installed several LASFIT bulbs this week and am definitely satisfied with them so far. If it needs to be under $100 then I would prioritize the white reverse lights ($40), the third brake light on the cab ($20), and the cargo/reverse lights on the cab ($20). The rear brake lights/turn signals require 4 bulbs and are pricier when you have to buy two sets of them ($100 for two packs), and if you opt for those then you might as well buy the entire kit that includes the front turn signals and side markers as well (about $230 for the whole kit). Also important to mention that the Lariat has different front turn signals than the XL/XLT.

I have a couple other items I have recently added for under $100 (tailgate damper, tailgate lettering, center console organizer, dash tray) but none of them are as impressive/important/useful to me as the three above.

Rear seat protector: generally used for dogs, but I use it for throwing all my crap in the back when I go camping without worrying that I'll mess up my seats

Tailgate assist

AkroHD cubby/mounting system; I use it with a couple of other products to hold my GMRS radio handheld
