Has anyone used a penda or rugged liner for your truck with cargo management system. Also if not who would be your go to for the oem drop in liner?
Thanks in advance

Not sure why there were no responses. This old post popped up for me today.

I bought and installed the Ford Modular Bedliner (Penda) in my Lariat Lux with the CMS that was installed at the factory. (Used my vehicle purchase points and a discount code at accessories.ford.com, so it was about $160)

A few caveats, since I will have to be taking both my sides out after the initial installation because I didn't think about these things.

1. I intend to add an additional LED strip to switch on with the in-bed LED light that the truck came with (Lariat Lux). It is too dark with a tonneau cover to see with only the single light at the back. You cannot access the bolts to take out the LED/Inverter panel with the bedliner in place. So I should have ran the wiring from the switch to the underside of the top rail BEFORE I put in the side bedliner piece. Lesson learned.

2. Decide first whether or not you are going to use the two Ford 12 v wiring plugs at the back of the bed. You will need to cut them out first. I decided to cut out only the one on the passenger side, and I plan to put in a 12v plug with a marine cover there after I Dremel out the Ford cover that holds the wire.

3. The passenger side lower cubby cover (for the "hidden" compartment) won't come out unless you trim a little more out of the bedliner than I did. I carefully followed the line so it would look nice, but I was too conservative and will have to take a bit more off of the bottom edge to get the cover to come out.

4. The CMS has washers behind the rails and if you are not very careful installing the three CMS mounting bolts with the washers on the back, they can fall through the holes down in between the bedliner and the bed. Luckily, mine fell all the way down to the floor piece and I was able to pull the liner away from the wall and retrieve them without having to take the side liner all the way out. Remember, the front bolt on each side is the smaller bolt (M6, I think) while the other two are M8...althugh they ALL take a T-30 Torx.

5. The CMS will fit in place with the Ford logo upside down. Don't do that. Pay attention to which way you install them. I was going to leave it upside down, but since I have to take them out to do the above corrections, I'll reinstall them correctly.

I have the factor spray-in liner and while your post is not relevant to me specifically, I do want to thank you for such a detailed and informative description of "how-to".
No doubt, this will help many members and this is what makes this forum so great. Much appreciated.

Why, thank you. I have learned much from this forum and am just trying to give back a little as I learn. I do hope this helps others. Before I realized that I was going to take both sides back out, I was REALLY annoyed that I had put the rails back in upside down. Hope this saves others from at least that blunder.

You're welcome! And don't feel too bad. Not all your fault. We tend to blame ourselves when the reality is it's just a bad design on the manufacturer's part.

In doing my many mods, I've filled up the curse jar tenfold! You just have to keep telling yourself, "I can fix this, I can fix this". Keep up the good posts.
