I called Ford to check my order. Not scheduled yet. I requested spray in bed liner and was told that was the delay. They can't get chemicals

You know all this story about build delays because of SIBL, I'm surprised your sales rep did not recommend that you get it done at the dealer. That's what my sales rep did when I placed my order in August. That and the hard trifold tonneau cover. I'm glad I listened to him.

Seriously? I know that they had issues last fall and apparently had a 3rd party doing the spray-in off-site for the trucks. This caused a host of issues for people, as it was not done properly.

Also, I called today to find out what is holding up my order from October 21'. They could not tell me anything. This would make sense, especially since you can't order an XL & XLT with the spray-in anymore.

So SIBL not only it's a constraint but also a potential source of fuel tank defect?

Have they acknowledge the problem and revised how they apply the SIBL?

Would getting the DIBL resolve the issue? Is this why they decided to offer this instead?

If you haven't been scheduled yet, you can have your dealer drop the SIBL and have it done after market. The only time it can't be dropped is if you have it as part of the LUX package (unless you drop the whole package). But if it's a stand alone item, it's not a problem to have it removed.

Yes, this has been resolved.
