Bed Extender with Drop-In Bedliner?

I'm sure someone probably already asked this, but I can't seem to find the post.
Does anyone know why Ford lists the Bed Extender as not available with the Drop-in hard bed liner? I've swapped out the Spray-in for the Drop-in but I may want to get the extender down the road.
Is there some compatibility issue with using the extender on a drop-in liner?

I suspect clearance issues due to the thickness of the DIBL or simply because it doesn't have pre-drilled access for the holes that the extender's mounts bolt into so they don't want to do it at the factory. They also played it safe early on and didn't allow tonneau/extender combinations even though some pre-production trainer vehicles sported both.

I can't seem to find the drop in bed liner on the accessories list, yet. No worries because my build doesn't start until Feb 7. The dealer said to remove the drop in bed liner from my build because it would delay delivery. I ordered my cactus gray XLT Hybrid Maverick July 20. After delivery I will be ordering the bed extender too. I just hope the combination of the two will work.

That's funny because when I ordered on Dec 17th, the dealer advised to switch out the spray-in for the DIBL because the spray-in would delay delivery. I don't think anyone really knows what's going to delay delivery, or things are changing too rapidly.
