+1 instance. 2024 2.0. Clunking from front end over small bumps started quietly and rarely at 40k miles and grew to be constant and louder by 45k miles. Driver side sway bar link, lower knuckle seems bad. Passenger side seems ok but I changed them both out for better all metal MOOG links with grease zerks. Also found passenger side strut bearing with a bit too much play. Swapped both of those out too with brand new OEM bearing and upper mounts. Probably a bit overkill but it sounds and rides like brand new again.
For reference, NO suspension modifications, but I do drive the car hard. It’s about 2 years old.

Add another, but I'm quite certain my issue is the sway bar bushing....

When I wiggle the end link by hand and can duplicate the noise inside the cabin but it doesn't appear to be the link itself. The noise is coming from the left sway bar bushing area. The bushing APPEARS to be fine. Nothing is rubbing on the sway bar anywhere and the bushing retainer bolts and end link bolts are all tight. If it happens to be the sway bar bushings it's kind of a pain so it's going to the dealer tomorrow morning. Figures it started like 2 days after we did the 15k mile service and changed the transmission fluid 😡

I should add the fact that the vehicle suspension is 100 percent stock.

Please post what the dealer finds.

I've had this same issue (22' Hybrid XLT Lux 34k miles) for about year now and my past dealer could not find out what was causing it. I just moved to South Texas and I need an oil change, so I am going to try my luck there. This time I'm mentioning the sway bars and really pushing to go on a ride with the tech.

Mine started with some break noise (clunking when coming to a complete stop), but over time I noticed the clunk and small rattle when going over certain bumps. More so if I hit a bump while turning. Both CV axles went bad and were replaced with the updated parts, but at this point this noise is getting REALLY annoying.

2023 Hybrid, never been raised, lowered or modified in any way. Just want to be clear, this is not thread bashing Ford or saying it's junk or anything. I'm genuinely curious about this.

I brought my truck to the dealership this morning for an oil change & tire rotation. When I dropped it off I asked that they also check the front end because I've been hearing a clunking noise when going over small bumps. They called right around their closing time and said they diagnosed the issue and the truck has bad sway bar links that will need to be replaced.

This really seems odd to me for a truck that's only 1.5 years old and with only 13K miles. I did a search of the forum and the Maverick FB groups and cannot find a single other mention of this happening except in instances where the owner raised or lowered the truck. But my truck is completely stock. with no modifications what so ever.

Anyone know what would case this? Is it possibly just bad sway bar links from the factory? I think my biggest concern is that there is a larger problem causing the sway bar links to fail prematurely.
At 37k mi, I need to get mine into Ford to look at dash rattles, and a soft but discernible clunk/rumble from the front suspension. Also some vibration at speed, which I might suspect are CV joints. I have the "gold" extended warranty as I bought it as "certified".

I have a22 with 32000 Miles that I purchased about a month ago. After a couple of week I noticed the same noise. Dealer said it was bad linkage on right side front sway bar. Ford recommend changing both I love the truck and hope this is not a sign of things to come. BCB

Thanks for this thread, my23 is currently at 33k. Same noise coming from the left front over small bumps when the suspension unloads for that moment over the bump. Gives me a good direction with the dealer.

Mine seems like it's getting bumpier and noisier. I should have been more pushy about it under the bumper to bumper warranty, but there were so many other issues and recalls that they required proof, I skipped out on this one. I might wait until it gets worse. I can imagine it will be expensive for them to diagnose, and then the repair won't be cheap, and there is no guarantee there assumption of the problem is correct. As it gets worse, should be easier to find. Took it in for an oil change and they looked it over and said everything looks good. Guess I'll just deal with it for now.
