Hello All,

Well I had a strap break and the load I had on the racks slid off the front off the truck.
Ford Maverick Bad day. Need new hood. 70622384816__D6B8C48F-BB28-4C0A-9D5C-2C83290E0267

The hood is dented and there is a little bit of paint off the fender but that’s it.

The touch up of the fender won’t be crazy but fixing the hood is more then a few bucks. I was hoping there might be an aftermarket option or maybe even something with a Ram Air.

Has anyone found anything?

Cheers

I’ve seen a few here that were totalled from a rear end collision so there might be a salvaged one out there. I haven’t seen any aftermarket offerings..

I’ve been looking on the used parts sites but it’s slim pickings.

I’d read the truck is there same as the Bronco Sport from the A pillar forward. Can anyone confirm this?

Clean the area, spray some clear coat (prevent rust) and call it a day. From the sounds of it is a work truck and that gives it some character.

It is a work truck but it’s an Aluminum hood so I don’t need to seal it.

Big Bummer! Not sure on the Bronco Sport hood being the same. I would suggest cleaning it up the best you can and drive it untill you are able to find replacement parts. A good body shop may be able to get it straightened out for you. Best of luck on that one.

Don’t think so.

My experience is that hoods are the worst to get right. It always shows. That said maybe have a body shop get it close, paint and then add cool graphics on both sides so you don’t see the imperfections. Maybe faux hood vents.. IDK

The hood paint will need to be blended into the fenders, so it somewhat works out for the right fender.

Good luck...

I would smooth it out with a body hammer kit then play around with some cutting and scooping. Maybe not for ram air exactly(its a good way to get water on your filter) but for heat extraction.
