Backup camera rain hood?

Does anybody know of, or hacked, some sort of rain hood for the backup camera?

I live in Oregon and the dang camera is always wet with big drops of water distorting my view.

Good idea.
I think the view is very good.
Very clear and night view is excellent.
But water drops do get in the way sometimes.
I had one car that would (intentionally) spray windshield washer fluid on the rearview camera. As long as you used good fluid you got a spot free rinse / sheeting where the drops would bead off. Thought that was neat. But had plumbing already there for the back wiper.

Get Rain-X (affiliate link below) and apply it, should make it easier for water to just drip off. It's a miracle worker for rain

I recommend putting it in ALL windows/mirrors as well

There is actually a new technology called ultrasonic lens cleaning that is intended for this. Just a matter of time before it becomes a optional/standard feature on backup cameras

I had ceramic coat done all over. It’s doesn’t help.

I am working on designing one, I wish Ford didn't cram it into the badge, it would make it a lot easier to make one.

I find my camera gets messed up when the road is wet. Not sure anything will keep it clear except a cover that moves when put in reverse.

v1 needed trimming, it still leaves a vignette, but I will test and see if this helps direct water away from it.

If this doesn't work, I am going to completely rebuild the badge and 3d print one that matches my black maverick better.
