Back seat interior cab light won’t turn off

2025 Maverick Hybrid back seat interior cab light will not automatically turn off after entering the truck. Has this happened to anyone else? How to fix this issue?

This happens to me occasionally. Seems like if I turn the truck off when my kid has the light on, I can't get it to turn off unless I start the truck again, then turn the interior light off (having all the doors shut) before turning the truck back off. Has worked every time so far. Drove me nuts for about an hour the first time.

The back seat light turns on and off by pushing it. See video.
Perhaps somebody was in the backseat or it got bumped, but I believe it should reset when you restart the truck.

Not yet - but I expect to. I've come to expect truly weird and random glitches. Apart from my truck going full retard and needing to be towed/fixed, I get all sorts of weird things. Latest was the auto highbeams didn't work for a few days. This morning they started working again on their own.

Mavericks seem to be magical mystery boxes of random crap working and not working...

Also maybe open just one door and test that pushing the switch that knows if the door is closed or not the lights turn off. Or you could turn truck on and open the door and push the switch and release it with someone watching the dash to make sure the switches work.
