Anyone using a B&W Tow and Stow in the “stowed” position on their Maverick?

The 2” ball doesn’t have quite enough clearance to allow mine to flip to the stowed position and wondering if anyone else has a model that works since mine is an older model.

Works on my 24 Lariat. It’s tight but it works.

Which model do you have/what's the drop?

It looks like yours sits in further on the receiver tube than mine allowing you to clear the safety hook eyelets. Mine is not the chrome model and I think a 5" drop which puts the hitch balls right under the safety hook eyelets causing the clearance issue.

I'd really like to be able to stow it ideally, but to clear the eyelets I need to drop it down far enough that I can only use one pin to secure the top eyelets on the ball mount.

Mine is over 10 years old but still in great shape, so hard to justify an update...

Does yours have the dual set of pin holes like this? If not, maybe you could drill the 2nd set.

It does and I have it on the furthest pin toward the ball and have tried both with no luck.

I debated drilling a third set to get it in further, but don't think I have enough room on the shank to do so. I'll have to take another look and see.

Good thought though.

I think I’ve resigned myself to this. It’s not ideal, but it works and doesn’t compromise the hitch or require any alteration otherwise. Plus I can use what I have and not spend money on another option until this one is EOL.

I've got to think that there's an angular difference in the safety hook loops between yours and Bigreds. I'll find my magnetic protractor and measure mine to establish a baseline.

I'm at 44 degrees, both sides are pretty much the same.

I suspect you are correct. I may have to borrow one of those and see.

Now that you point that out, I realize drilling another set of holes on either side of the existing isn't likely to give me any relief either considering this angle relative to the hitch. Dang.
