the maverick gets more and more impressive everyday, put my grandparents tritoon in the water yesterday, no idea what the whole setup weighs, I imagine I was getting close to capacity, but I didn't really notice while driving.
chief complaint is that I couldn't see anything behind me, aside from a small window between the floats, we need a solution that isn't a crappy universal amazon set.
did about 20 miles with the boat, cruising backroads on mild hills and curves, had the cruise control at 52.
did a little city driving, I like the shorter wheelbase of the maverick I imagine trying to get around some of those corners would be harder in a longer truck.
I don't have much towing experience, definitely not with anything heavy. I can back a 4x8 up a hill though, so I'm pretty confident in my driving ability. I was a little nervous going in, but after 5ish miles things were going great.
I don't think we'll be using the maverick to get the boat out, as this particular ramp is very slick in the fall I guess, and I'm not confident that the maverick is heavy enough not to get dragged into the lake.
this whole experience gives me some confidence when I start camper shopping though, that was my goal going in!
if anyone knows of any fool proof options for mirrors, please let me know!
