Avoid having 3rd Brake Light Truck Bed Lights come on when opening driver's door?

Something you might try: I think the dome light switch up by the sunglasses holder is wired to all the lights (interior/dome and bed lights). When that switch is in the center, the dome/bed lights come on when you open the door. Switched to one side, the dome/bed lights come on even when the door is closed. If you switch it the other way, the dome light will NOT come on when you open the door. Does this prevent the bed lights from coming on as well?

Just tested this, MY24 Lariat Hybrid. With dome light switch to off, bed light still comes on.
