Auto Start/Stop Disable -- Anybody Try This Method?

When i drove a 2020 transit connect work van, I would start coming to a stop then let up on brakes then back on the brakes then back up and back down to a stop. No this was not slamming them on, gradually doing so where I'm sure the person behind the van didn't even notice. I think it made the van think of stop n go so it wouldn't shut off. This was instead of pushing the easy button.

There’s this little button near the gear shifter. It turns the auto start-stop off. UN FRICKING BELIEVABLE! WHO KNEW!!!

Some folk don't want to have to push that button every time they start their truck! They just want it shut off!

I do this in my Ranger, light pedal work does the trick..

Hi Guys,

New Mav owner (absolutely loving it!). I've been researching the hated A/S/S "feature" and how to disable it with FORscan. There seems to be a lot of confusion.

I found this post (also noted on this forum) related to Ford Bronco: https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/disabled-auto-start-stop-with-forscan.3733/ . This involves changing: PSCM 730-03-01 xxxx xxxx 00-

1. Has anybody with a Maverick successfully tried this and had it work?

2. Were there any downsides (some people were concerned it would mess up other systems).

3. Have there been any other recent developments in turning off A/S/S with Forscan?

I’ve tried it and it works for mav ecoboost 2023. The AS/S feature is always off and so is the off led. Changing drive modes turns on the off led but AS/S remains off. No problems so far.
