Please, any existing owners confirm something about the Auto Hold feature. If you have it turned on and shut down the truck, upon restart the truck should automatically turn Auto Hold back on. It's supposed to remember at start up if it was on or off at last shut down. Thanks.
Remember-Auto hold MUST be turned off when driving thru a car wash, once shifted into neutral.

It stays on as long as you don't turn the function off manually. It is a great feature and I love it, no reason to shut it off.
Auto hold is a great feature except when doing tight spot maneuvers such as a parking lot. Feels like I have to use a heavier push on the accelerator and that causes the truck to lurch a bit.

Exactly. I don't like the auto hold feature after backing out in R and switching to D. The wheels are turned sharply and I don't want to jerk the weak CV axles out of auto hold. Feels like you could blow a CV axle. I turn it off and release the car easy into D, then start winding the wheel back.

I like it, but it's not completely reliable. Just make sure to keep enough distance from the vehicle in front of you. Just about every time I drive in town, auto hold lets go by itself. I swear my foot is a safe distance from the accelerator. Anyway it is not reliable and just jumps ahead with a lurch too often.
How far away from the accelerator does your foot have to be and just how does the function work?

Good to hear Auto Hold is working as described in the manual. I ask because the manual for my '21 Lincoln Navigator has the exact same verbage in the manual as the Maverick's, but it will not remember the last setting. On start up it comes on, but immediately turns off. Back to the Maverick though, I'll be checking this myself when I get mine. Thanks all.
What the devil is a Lincoln...
