I see a lot of posts with people changing their orders to remove items that are causing a delay, but I feel like I built out exactly what I wanted and am willing to wait to get that perfect baby when it finally arrives, what is your take?

100% the same. I built MY2023 with everything I wanted. It's an expensive investment.. I'd rather have the truck later with everything I wanted than sooner without them. lol

I too ordered what I wanted back in October 2021 and didn’t change a thing even when recommended. Only time I changed was during the rollover process and added things that were no longer part of the Lariat luxury package. Then my wife looked at the package and hated the orange trim interior and I got the black appearance package. 490 days later, I got everything I wanted, hybrid with mud flaps and all. Glad I didn’t settle. Attached is the evolution of 490 days.

Why would anyone add mud flaps at the factory? Three times as much as buying them after market. And it takes 15 minutes to install.

Because it was an option that I wanted and…got and happy driving it.

Agreed. If you're buying a brand new truck, wait for exactly what you want. Dropping options just to get it faster isn't worth the long-term regret.
