Anyone have an ARE V series shell installed in their Mav? I just ordered one and now a 6.8 week wait but would like to see what yours look like!

By the way, I learned that A.R.E. designed their shells to be snug against the back of the cab. Yet, most shell installers will set it back a little because they are used to the bed moving with respect to the cab on most trucks.

The A.R.E. MX-series on my Maverick was set back like the V-series pictured above. Yet, the rear door didn't sit against the tailgate properly. I had the installer move the shell closer to the back of the cab. I also replaced the clamps with bolts since I wanted the shell to be more securely fastened to the bed.

I like the fit and finish of my A.R.E. shell. And I am glad I ordered the fold-down front window (so it allows me to clean the area between the shell and the back of the cab).

I hope your V-series arrives earlier than you expect.

I found out yesterday that ARE only has the fold down front window available now and they no longer offer just the front window slider. I asked my truck outfitter why and he said he was told to be able to clean the window being the shell fits so tight against the cab. it was a $55 addition to my order but no big deal.
