Are order numbers sequential?

anyone know if the order numbers are sequential? I have an order number of 0708 - so was I the 708th order ford got?

i dont think they mean anything. mine was H001.
i can tell you for sure the last digits of the VIN have nothing to do with build sequence either. they do not come down the line in numerical order.

Dealers choose an order # when placing an order. Means nothing, other than to that specific dealer.

thats what it is - mine was ordered july 8 - 0708
hybrid XLT with Luxury package BTW - build date supposedly Jan 31st, but i fully expect to start getting the weekly sorry we pushed back your build date emails soon!

Mine was 627S. My dealer uses the Date, then the alphabet for sequential orders that day. But the order code is not unique to Maverick orders. Only, according to my sales manager. It's all retail orders taken that day. I placed mine in the evening. It obviously was a busy day since they made it all the way to S. I wonder what they do if they have a 27th vehicle in a day?
