I Am Canadian and I will not be returning to the USA for at least another 3 years. I also have friends that have places in Florida that are actively trying to sell. Their intension is to retreat to the Bahamas, Mexico etc.

there are very few paradises as a friend sez"everything grows in Florida' maybe give Costa Rica a try?(I'm sure there's a chupacabra or something even there-as an ex-Navy friend related you can die of hypothermia in pretty warm water( are those man sized sinkholes a thing in Belize?) well I will just go the Arctic and Alaska wait-frigid temps,blackflies ,grizzlys and Polar bears( them suckers don't drink Coca-Cola either,wait a minute(sigh of relief-Canada!-hold on Bigfoot,cold temps snow(lotsa snow) belligerent Moose.Forget I said anything think I'll just plop down on the Lazyboy,ouch ! a black widow just bit me forget the east coast to many hurricanes and "snowbirds-definition of snowbird-polite nomenclature for Yankee(gosh maybe Musk has it right-of course kinda hard to mouth breathe up there(or out there,depends on your orientation)
