Steeda came out with new lowering springs but they highly recommend purchasing the adjustable rear toe links they sell. Is it even necessary to get them? They are a hefty 400 dollars

I think this is only applies to AWD versions. I could be wrong but asked about this for my hybrid and another person had commented about that.

I got a fwd so I’ll take your word for it and go without them. Thanks

I wonder why they say their springs don’t fit the hybrid, it has the same suspension as the fwd Ecoboost.

You will need an alignment after lowering no matter which drivetrain you have since this will change the suspension geometry. Usually lowering will increase negative camber if you don't get an alignment and cause more inner tire wear. I have the AWD and there is no camber adjustment in the rear. Lowering shouldn't affect toe, but it might and if Steeda is recommending it, I would trust there is a reason. Eibach was selling rear camber kits but they had an issue with them impacting the control arm when the suspension bottoms out and removed them from their website.

Here is a link to another thread about lowering that has pictures of my lowered truck and what the camber looks like without an alignment.

Thank you for the input and I was planning on getting an alignment right after the install of the springs, so I’m good with just the springs and alignment in your opinion for the fwd?

I have an AWD with Eibach Pro springs and it aligned to within 1 degree of factory spec with no camber bolts or anything. The toe wasn't off on mine. Only the camber. I wouldn't spend another $400 for something that helps the toe.

I have the steeda and love them. I did get a alignment but didn't purchase the adjustable link. It's fine. 2022 hybrid
