I was always under the impression that we could not view in Apple Maps app on the information screen on our trucks. Evidently I was misguided as a fellow maverick owner and shown me his map visible on the screen .

He's talking about it showing on the 6.5" gauge cluster screen, not the 8" center console screen.What would be the point of Apple CarPlay if you couldn't view it on your screen?
I'll second that! One less cord getting in the way.I really recommend a dongle, hands free car play!
Nope. This thread is a year old, and OP had a setting on their phone that was preventing CarPlay from working normally, on the center screen. It was resolved two posts above yours.He's talking about it showing on the 6.5" gauge cluster screen, not the 8" center console screen.
