I hooked my Maverick up to my wifi, did the latest update on the radio settings and it stopped doing this. It was definitely something glitching in the trucks infotainment center. It only happened on CarPlay in my truck not my wife’s explorer.

Generally speaking when we see CarPlay issues it is within CarPlay. Your car is really just a mirror. Always check for new software first, then do a restart on your phone. And, if using a cord always be sure to use an actual Apple cord. CarPlay moves a lot of data and it does not like many aftermarket cords. Also, why not using Apple maps? They are very good these days.
I would like to but my old iPhone 7 does not support iOS 17 which is where map downloading resides . Being a bit on the cheapish side shall we say, I do not plan upgrading my 7 until Apple stops updating it altogether. I have my eye on the SE Gen 3 used on Swappa but still more bucks than I care to spend right now just getting my truck and all.
