Anyone use the Muslogy Center Console Vault?

Looking at adding a vault to my Mav since I have my CCW permit. I need a place to secure the firearm because there are places where it can't always be taken. I'm aware of the Ford branded Console Vaults, but I do not like the price on them. I also have read that if you use the Ford center console vault, you lose the ability to place an organizer tray in the center console. I found this product on Amazon from Muslogy. It costs about half that of the Ford/CV vaults and is supposedly compatible with a center console organizer that can sit right over the top without modification. Has anyone had any experience with this product? What are your thoughts?

I have the Ford/Console-Vault(TM) version, but I would try the Amazon one if I were you. This looks like it should do the job at less than half the price.

I generally hate cheap Amazon products, but the quality doesn't need to be great. The vault doesn't need to be very secure. It just has to prevent quick smash-and-grab theft in the courthouse/school/workplace/etc parking lot. A responsible person won't leave any special items in the vault overnight when thieves may be more willing to spend the time breaking into it.

I have the Ford vault. I like it for what it is. The one in your link looks (in the pictures) as though it sits higher in the console than my Ford Vault does. ???

I'm not entirely sure. Perhaps @Muslogy Auto could give insight into how their vault differs from the Ford/CV one. I want one that can still have a console tray sit over the top without modification. You can't do that with the ford one because of the big dial and huge tongue that hangs off said dial.

I have one installed, it takes up the hole storage no room for anything else but
I like it, my 380, 9mm fits, but my 357 is to large for the center console,
Iam thinking about getting one for under my back seat

Where did you see or read that Muslogy is compatible with a Muslogy console tray?
That would be nice.

I bought mine directly from Console Vault. After watching an install video for the Musology vault, I think the Console Vault version might be a little bit easier to install, but that's just my opinion. I suspect that either will serve your needs well. I got the Elite 4-digit lock on mine on sale and it was a bit cheaper than the FORD Accessories vault with the standard 4-digit lock.

That's funny-I was just about to do a write-up of my Muslogy install & I found your post. Here is the description with photos:

I bought the Muslogy Console Vault on Amazon since the reviews were pretty good and there were photos of ones that had actually been installed.
I got the package today and installed it just as the sun was going down-See the dark photos.
It took 30 minutes only because it's a b***h to get your hands into the console and punch a hole and tighten the screws (not Muslogy's fault). I did finally get it installed and it seems very solid. I removed the felt pad underneath and will trim it to fit back in.
The combination was easy to change and I tried using the key to retrieve a lost code-It works.
Overall, seems pretty solid to me. I paid $129 but it looks like it's on sale for $110 for Prime members right now:

I put the batteries on top in the last photo to show the depth available above the vault-It's maybe an inch.

Oh yeah, I forget to write that I also liked this brand since they had a 4-digit code lock as opposed to many that only had a 3-digit code. And some don't have the key to recover a lost code.

I see the door is spring loaded but does it rattle? Also, do the tumblers work easily or do they catch and not want to turn?

Nope-No rattles and extremely solid. They include a 3M foam sticky strip but I didn't need it.
