Anyone Lose A Moonroof?

While I'm excited to finally be getting my Maverick Hybrid XL. I am bummed that I lost my moonroof when my MY22 was converted to a MY23. Anyone else?

A moonroof is one of those upgrades that seems like an awesome accessory, but in my experience, you use it for a year and love it, then NEVER use it ever again. If you do, you wear out the motor or the gaskets and it starts leaking and destroys your interior.

They never give you anything more for it in trade-in either. Consider yourself lucky.

Correct when I ordered my MY22 XL the moonroof was an option. It is no longer an option on the 23, so when they bumped me to a 23 they built it without the moonroof.

No way I would trust my taco to that cheap sunglasses holder, it would be in your lap after the first bump. Your taco goes in the tray behind the info screen anyways.

Oh that makes so much more sense. My tacos are always going all over the place. I will have to try this new method you speak of.

Price increased to $995 from $695 for sunroof.
Changed trim from XL to XLT.
Year to year changes may be frustrating.
Adding a sunroof would have been $1250 for a Webasto/Hollandia unit. Honestly it would have been superior to the OEM sunroof. Wind deflector a solid piece instead of the noisy dirt gathering screen of the OEM.
In 24 you can't order Silver or Carbonized Gray on XL. Bummer.

My Ford 2015 SEL Edge has the moonroof.
We never open the glass but open the inside shade at night or on dreary days sometime.
Downside is a high pitch vibration noise that is coming from somewhere in the front of it at speeds above 65 mph.
A plastic trim panel mounted next to the sunroof went missing.
$ 300 wholesale for a replacement plastic panel about 8" x 12" ? The parts guy gave me a break.
I'm done with moonroofs.
