I’m considering hard tri-fold bed covers. This one seems to be better priced than most I’ve looked at. It’s a brand name (at least a name I’ve heard before), but seems to be a good deal less expensive than the Ford option or other ones I’ve seen. Does anyone have experience with this one or maybe have enough experience with this type of cover to know if it’s lacking something it should have?

I'm happy with mine, had for about 3 months without any issues.
Didn't notice any leak after Ian passed thru Virginia.

From looking at the instructions, the first 1/3rd (closest to the back window) does not tilt-up, so that might be something to consider. Looks easy enough to completely remove, though.

Yeah, but what do you do with the cover when you're out and about, and need to pick something up that needs the full bed space? For me, if I can't fold up that "final third" segment, this type of cover would be a no-go.

When I had my full-size Chevy HD truck, we installed a Back-Flip rigid tri-fold cover where the third panel propped up fairly close to the back window, and that worked fine. I could even pick up loads of compost or mulch from the bulk place. Just flip the cover up against the glass and attach the brace struts, dump the stuff in, and go.

If you are getting a hard tri-fold you want one that will tilt up. With just over 4.5 feet of bed space you want to be able to maximize the room you have. Truthfully I think a soft roll up is the best for the Maverick, taking up the least amount of space when open.
