All for the low-low price of $1199, minus the 15% Ford accessories code that always ends in 3 days.

Not to worry. Once Ford establishes that there is a market for it, Mabett will knock it off for $200,,,,,

I like that box. I don't need it but I do appreciate how it looks like it'd be level when you put some 2x4s in the box side pockets, that'd be a nice feature to retain flat load carrying.

This storage box pictured on Ford's site is exactly the accessory I need, but I have no idea when ford will actually show one for sale. I know it has brought up in a couple of threads before, but I figured I throw it out there again...

I'm currently using the Tactical Gear Crate from MTM. Their Mule gains you an internal tray but costs you a divider.

That looks useful for sure! I think I'm gonna hold out for a while for the Ford(likely overpriced) one, since it seems like you can also secure it to the bed too. I like the idea of not having to remove it to keep it from being stolen. I know you can secure anything, if you're creative enough though.

Securing it isn't a problem for me. The hard roll up cover on the bed has to be opened from inside & the tailgate locks.

I don't have a bed cover, which is also why the weather sealed bit is important too for me.

That's one of the plusses of the MTM boxes over the ones from Plano. They have seals in the lid. I don't remember what material they are. The MTM boxes also use a hinge instead of latches on one side.

They are lockable but making it difficult to steal without a cover would take some work.

I hope there will be a way to mount this with the box top flush with the top of the bed. I would rather have the full floor length of the bed to transport longer items, plus it would make it easier to reach over the side and access the box.

It's easy to seal the 108qt. Plano crates. This is what I use for anything in the bed that needs to stay 100% dry.

Has anybody seen any update on that Ford box? I’d love to get rid of the clunky harbor freight toolbox I currently have installed. I really want a toolbox + tonneau that will work with a backrack but that’s not doable with the harbor freight box unless I have one custom made (not gonna happen lol). From what I’ve seen online there’s very few options for a good fitting toolbox + tonneau, aside from those overpriced swing cases.
