Hey all-

I ordered a nearly base level Maverick XL, only options I took were Copilot, All-Weather floor liners, and the rear sliding window. I picked mine like this for the affordability, and extensive potential that comes with owning an entry-level trim. Since there's a good amount of performance-based threads, I wanted to hear what ideas everyone had for some of their future cosmetic customizations. Here are some of mine to start:
-Window tint (of course)

-Black ovals
I mean, come on. Who doesn't love a black and chrome Ford oval?

- Spray in liner and toppeau cover
yeah, I know I could've ordered it with the factory ones, but it isn't a pressing need need and I'd rather add on these types of things as I get the money. "But Eli, these are functional upgrades, not cosmetic ones!" That's true, but we all know spray in liner looks dope, so I'm counting it as cosmetic.

-Wheel paint
I got an XL, so this baby's gonna have some steelies. Powder paint 'em black, and it'll be all I ever wanted.

-Lariat headlights
Ah, the part I'm most excited for. As the various trims roll onto streets and later lots, the dealerships will be filling with replacement parts, since half of America can't drive. When I get the chance, eventually, I'll swap some Lariat trim headlights onto my XL, and get those sweet, sweet LED bars in fluid combination with my black steelies.

What ideas do you all have?

I'll be interested to see what aftermarket grills come out. I think the stock grill could look more aggressive.

Although you likely will have trouble swapping if you get the copilot 360 as it has a sensor on the front grill.

That also brings up the question - if you want to mount a bull bar/brush guard on the front how does that effect the copilot 360?

Along the same lines, are halogen tail lights on all models?
Or would the Lariat trim come with LED tail lights?
And are headlights/tail lights the same on all models?

Wondering, as I’d consider changing to Lariat head/tail lights once available as separate parts. Or at least upgrade to LED tail lights at some point. If offered.

Just a few small things..

-Tint (light UV tint over factory privacy glass)
-Line-x Bed liner
-Husky floor liners
-Seat covers (would like to find some of those old school saddle blanket covers)
-AT tires. I like the steelies, but if I can find some of those Bronco Sport Badlands optional wheels that look like steelies I might swap to those if they're lighter.
-Stubby antenna
-Maybe skid plates
-Maybe fog lights

If I think of anything else i'll edit the list.

Only the headlights for Lariat are the "signature lighting". The tail lights on all the trims are the same incandescent, probably to save money. I'll be looking forward to some nice custom LED tailights though.

Yeah that's interesting. I wonder if the sensor has it's own housing that you could uninstall/resinstall, or if it's just a no-go for a bull bar.

I'm looking forward to utilizing the 12v in the bed. They make this job way easier!

I will also be doing this:

I'm removing all the orange accents in the cab and painting them to match the trim color (A51)
Probably getting a dumb tech vanity plate
Likely getting the lariat lights
AND some weather floormats

If a decent looking topper/cap is available I will likely get one of those. Of the couple, I've seen so far, not too thrilled.

In what world do you live in, I'd love to come visit? Dealerships will never have the Lariat lights siting around. You'll have to order from Ford for ~$800/light and make or purchase an adapter harness. Gonna be a spendy upgrade if you want to source new parts. I'd suggest waiting until you can find some used lights off of a totaled Mav, you won't ever find new Lariat headlights sitting at a dealership waiting as a replacement. Even if you stroll into a dealer a year from now, in search of those lights, they'd have to order them from Ford.. Just wait and see what the aftermarket delivers, you may like one of those options even more, especially when you compare opportunity costs.

Personally I'm not modding mine at all while factory warranty is still in play. Just going to figure out exactly what I want from Ford and order it that way. Too much risk in something "aftermarket" causing issues that Ford may deem fault in case of needing warranty work. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to trick it out from day 1 with a tune, custom lighting, suspension, brakes, wheels/tires, but just not worth the risk for me. Also, by the time I got this thing how I really wanted, I'd be ~$45k in.. gotta pay to play though.

I'm looking for this too. I'm hoping that one of the companies makes an affordable lightweight composite topper that color matches the maverick's plastic trim. I think it would look good with most of the colors, and given the single bed size they'd save a lot on design/tooling/stocking costs.

I may or may not get a lift, depends how low to the ground i feel in it. I'm used to sitting at full-size 4x4 pickup height.

The other things i want to add when they are available for this truck are a full front grill guard or as i call it 'Deer Armor' and i want one of those pull out bed platforms. So you pull it out, load it up and push it back in very convenient.

Got a Velocity Blue Lariat hybrid coming. Adding tint (obligatory in FL), blue accented wheels, interior LED ambience lighting, upgrading the speakers, maybe a small subwoofer. Definitely want ceramic coating.

I'm all for headroom but that version I've seen in photos is awful looking. I'll take less room for one that matches the roofline.
