So, I was doing some research on dash cams, and one that has caught my attention has the ability to connect to hotspots such as the one in the Maverick Lariat. Does anyone know if the Wifi in the Maverick would allow the connection from the dashcam, or am I missing something? And/or would it be available to the dashcam while the car is parked?

Example cam:
In other words, have the dashcam connect to the hotspot which would enable the truck's LTE to upload video content to a cloud account.

I did a search on the forum, but didn't locate this subject covered yet.

The basic FordPass app functions are free, but you can subscribe to AT&T IN-VEHICLE WI-FI DATA PLANS. They are 10 or 15 dollars month depending if you are an AT&T customer. They also offer a 3 month trial.

In my experience the internet from the hotspot on the truck is quite mediocre (speed) and cant be counted on to work at all times.

While patiently awaiting our Mav, I just want to say this is a thing in our Tesla Model Y... we can view live stream of the two side, front, and rear cameras from the Tesla app and even speak through the app in which the sound is emitted through the vehicles outside speaker (and it morphs the voice). It's all built-in and was recently unveiled via OTA update.
