Anybody have any cool vehicles prior to Maverick?

1938 Chevrolet Coupe. One bench seat with HUGE trunk. Rescued it from a junk yard and put three junk yard motors in it until I got a "good" one. Pull one engine after school, put another in the next day. All you needed was a chain hoist and a handful of tools.
Sadly, those days are long gone.

I bought a 1991 Ford Taurus SHO (super high output) in Germany in 2002. The original owner bought it in Colorado in 1991 and it was registered that year and the rest of its life in Germany.

Fully loaded- 10disc CD changer, leather, sunroof, auto climate control. Stuff which sounds average now was top of the line 30 years ago!

Car got up to 90mph QUICK and was a blast to drive with the manual transmission. Mine was 'electric red'

Miss my 93 RX7 R1, red, which I had to sell when I moved to New England. It was a rolling speeding ticket and not that great in snow.

Also my 3 Miatas, red NA, green NB and maroon NC.

Also had some cool VWs - the original bug, the original Bus, and a Karman Ghia. All three rolling death traps in hindsight. Those things went through snow like it wasn't there.

Miss my 93 RX7 R1, red, which I had to sell when I moved to New England. It was a rolling speeding ticket and not that great in snow.

Also my 3 Miatas, red NA, green NB and maroon NC.

Also had some cool VWs - the original bug, the original Bus, and a Karman Ghia. All three rolling death traps in hindsight. Those things went through snow like it wasn't there.

Awesome, RX7 is in my top 3 Favorite cars.

Hey, I had one of those! Why did you take off the wheels and suspension though? The whole point of the ACR was you got special suspension and wheels.

Transmission went out on ours though, wouldn't shift to 2nd, and the sunroof rusted up. Otherwise was a good vehicle, but very inexpensive interior, the rear windows were even roll ups if I remember right.

I kept the original Tokico struts and BBS wheels. Ended up having to sell the car when I had to insure a teen on it.
