As the title says. I like the black wheel and the design, just not the minuscule tire they put on it. Thinking of lowering it and swapping tires to like a 245/55/17 for some width.

H&R Escape springs. I have a Venezia Crusade HP tires and honestly the ride is better tire wise just louder on certain surfaces. You get the hop feeling from the springs but its not terrible. Are you running eibach Escape lowering springs? From what year and I assume AWD? I have talked to eibach and they are coming out with springs for the AWD Maverick within a few months. Supposed to drop the front 2.1" and rear 2.9" from what they told me. Fingers crossed it's sooner than later.
I saw that fwd will work with Escape springs as wellEscape lowering springs. I have 20's on it now.

that tire size is 1" taller than stock, so in essence you have about an extra .5" on the top of the tire and .5" on the bottom of the tire. I would say it would work, but what's the purpose of the taller tire?@22MavXLT Found any luck with answering your original question? I want to lower my AWD XL on H&R Super Sport springs but keep the OEM 17" steelies. I'd prefer to go 245/65 but am not sure if there will be any fitment/rubbing issues.
I like the look of a slightly larger tire with a lowered mini-truck so want to go with an all-terrain that is slightly larger than stock. Also another way to help fill up any fender gap.that tire size is 1" taller than stock, so in essence you have about an extra .5" on the top of the tire and .5" on the bottom of the tire.
