Any areas prone to rusting?

I just installed rubber weatherstripping from Amazon across the roof where it meets the windshield to hopefully help prevent chipping and future rust along the edge. There are multiple types. Somewhat tricky to install and separate at the same time to get the bottom rubber strip piece down and under the glass edge. It fits nice and tight across the top.

that LOOKS great. I worry about many treatments like front deflectors etc in that they can trap both water and gunk and accelerate rust, that one looks pretty impervious but not sure if moisture could still get trapped?

Just wondering how you installed this? The single sided lip to the roof and the double sided to the windshield? If so, how did you get it under the windshield?

Just wondering how you installed this? Single-sided lip to the roof and double sided to the windshield? If so, how did you get the edge of the windshield to fit in the U-shaped channel?

I installed the rubber just like you said with the single-sided lip toward the painted roof and the double rubber part toward the windshield. I actually tried several times working from one side of the truck. I was getting frustrated as it kept pushing out no matter what way I attempted to do it. I almost gave up as I was losing patience. It was not fun. I did warm up the rubber under hot water to make it more flexible. I believe my last attempt involved more pushing it down into the channel with more force using my thumb so the bottom double side caught down under the glass windshield edge. It finally caught and I could tell the way it felt and did not pop out. I slowly worked it along. The curved rubber on the top makes a real tight seal as shown in my photo. There was about 1 ft. left to cut off when I was done the installation. I hope this helps.
