grab the wiper in two hands and try to wiggle the blade against the arm. if it's tight make an appointment for service.

Sounds like it's a spline or two off on its alignment on the wiper driveshaft. I'd let the dealer fix it since its new but it's an easy DIY to do as well. It has a release tab at the base and mounts on the splined driveshaft that moves the wiper arm back and forth.

My Lariat does it on the right side when wipers are all the way to the right. Passenger side. Not always. It sometimes seems to not go down enough on the down sweep and it will also sometimes turn off an inch or so from total retraction. I think it is the blade on the clacking noise but not going down all the way may indicate a different problem??

EDIT: 5K miles, no other problem so not whining much!!!

Hi there! If you can send over a private message with your VIN and dealership info, I'd be happy to check things out on my end.
