Okay, so out of the box my truck has worked well with the infotainment and android auto shaking hands and playing nice. However, twice now in the two weeks I've owned it I've had issues where the system completely fails to detect android auto and the phone says it cant connect to display. I've tried both the USB A and C ports across 5 different cables and 3 different devices. All give me the same results, no go on android auto starting on the system. Tried rebooting devices, restarting truck, etc. Only thing that's fixed it thus far is doing a factory reset of the infotainment system and as soon as it finishes that android auto works again.
I'm trying to figure out if this is a weird glitch that I'm just going to have to live with, an operating order that I'm plugging in my phone too soon or too late or it's a legit issue with the infotainment system. I'd put it in for service with Ford since it's only 2 weeks old but since it's so intermittent I'm pretty sure they'd write it off as a can not duplicate.
Has anyone else had this issue or have a solution to it? I hate having to redo all my settings and reconnect fordpass for my wife and I every week just to get AA to play nice with the truck.
