Maps on the screen. Personal music on my phone controlled with playlists and whatever. Texts read to you.

All controlled by the built-in steering wheel and screen buttons. Just push the button on the steering wheel and tell it to text whoever, or set a calendar appointment, or call whoever, or anything else your phone can do.
My dealership sent me an invite to go to the dealership to learn how to use it which I'm planning on doing soon

After riding dealer’s courtesy vehicle home, watching the Explorer large screen with map on it, in satellite view, my Oh wow! moment. So thereafter
I just started using android auto, especially maps on my truck screen.

I wear hearing aid and having sound “directions” coming thru vehicle speakers so much better than trying to listen to the small Mickey Mouse phone speaker, which to me sounds like Mickey Mouse voice. Or Alvin the chipmunk. Besides, that lady’s voice telling directions so charming to listen to. Definitely not Minnie Mouse voice!

With AA, I couldn't care less if a vehicle has navigation on it or not. I am using Google Maps. In fact, if car manufacturers are smart, they would eliminate the option and save themselves a bit. I can set my trip up before hand and connect when I get in and am ready to go. If you do that using Toyota/Lexus, they want to charge you extra! The screen on my phone is a lot easier to type on for searches, too.

I was happy enough with my Mavericks Sync 3 and Android Auto until we bought my wife a new 2025 Chevy Equinox. After driving that a few times, I feel letdown when I get back in my truck. :(

Her dash, with all it's options, customizations, and unique setting for each person/profile make me wish my truck had her dash.

It makes much better use of what AA and technology has to offer, in my opinion. Perhaps the 2025 Maverick with Sync 4 does too? I haven't had a chance to sit in one yet?

If your truck doesn't have it, you can add wireless adapters that automatically sync Android Auto/ Carplay without having to plug the phone in. They take 30-60 seconds to boot all the way up.

My wife loves it- can leave her phone in her purse and have all the modern features.

I really like the idea of Android Auto, but I struggle to see how it's better than just connecting my phone via bluetooth.

Anyone have a good use case for this connectivity that you really like?
A big thumbs up from me for Android Auto. My top three apps: Waze (situation-aware driving navigation), PlexAmp (listening to songs from my home network storage), and Smart AudioBook Player (for listening to audiobooks, obviously )
