Mine is so dark I can only see out of it in bright daylight. Let us know how it works out.

I'm gonna give it a try when the weather gets a little better, was hoping someone already did it, worried about what heat gun will do to the glass. I'll keep you posted

-Took out both brake lights (kinda a PIA)
-Right side tapped into the GRAY/VIOLET wire from the plug that attaches to the light, not any wires on the light itself
-ran that wire under the truck to the left brake light area.
-left side tapped into the WHITE/GREEN wire (again from the plug, not the light) and attached to the logic box, and also attached the wire from the right side to the logic box
-3rd brake light power wire to the logic box
-3rd brake light ground wire to the logic box along with another wire that I grounded to the truck (found a nut that fit on a bolt on the inside of the bed
Got dark before I could get pics of the inside wiring. I will post a sketch of how I wired it up tomorrow. the wiring diagram came from a member here in another post, THANKS azadv for that. Still want to put disconnects on the wires to make removing the topper easier if need be.

Ordered the cap on 11/3/2025 received 1/9/2025. Installed on truck the same day. Just want to thank all the people in this group. The information helped a lot. I would like to especially Thank Don806! He posted the wiring of the 3rd Brake light 3/12/2025 and it was spot on.

Looks like Hank’s topper is a little different dimensions than mine? Taller but narrower?
I’ll try to get a height measurement and post it soon. I’d like to figure out a way for the back to open more, as it’s eye level when opened

The picture on the Alibaba site that I ordered from was not as narrow as the cap I got. There was no way on the order form to specify exactly what I wanted in regards to that. I was clear it was a 2024 Ford Maverick. There is nothing I can do about it now, I can't send it back to China. I still like the cap though. Solid construction, very functional, and was very easy to put together. That angle of the picture make it look worse than it is. I attached a couple other views.

Nope, the OP can't do it because he never bought a Maverick, lol. He just bought the topper, if you can believe that. Hasn't posted in almost a year either.

I'm coming up on a year with this topper, but have to remind myself that it was almost a year old when I got it (bought used). Still need to get it sealed better in the corners up near the cab, the weatherstrip on the rear door needs replaced, had a little tear on one side when I got it that has gotten worse, and there must be some sort of metal in the weatherstrip as it is showing some rust streaks. I haven't found a suitable replacement seal piece yet, and a couple of the LED's in the brake light have went out. Those are my only gripes about it.

yeah, got it for a grand and my tonneau cover, so basically $1200. Dude said he paid like $1800 for it, and around that time you could get a new one for like $1400 (most of cost was shipping)

Based on the fitment of mine, which sits fairly flush with the roofline and about a finger's width away from the rear of the cab, I'm going to take a guess it would not fit.
