Added disconnects for the brake light and dome light for the topper this evening. Bought a kit without wires, took some patience to get things done, but turned out ok. Was able to hide the wiring fairly well under the plastic trim on the bed.

Were the wires long enough from the logic box to reach both tail lights (Green and Yellow Wires) ? Or did you need to extend them with your own wire. THANK YOU!
Looks solid
Success!!!!
Bought this unit: https://www.mastercrafttruckcaps.com/store/Truck-Cap-LOGIC-BOX-Brake-Light-Module-p657540107
-Took out both brake lights (kinda a PIA)
-Right side tapped into the GRAY/VIOLET wire from the plug that attaches to the light, not any wires on the light itself
-ran that wire under the truck to the left brake light area.
-left side tapped into the WHITE/GREEN wire (again from the plug, not the light) and attached to the logic box, and also attached the wire from the right side to the logic box
-3rd brake light power wire to the logic box
-3rd brake light ground wire to the logic box along with another wire that I grounded to the truck (found a nut that fit on a bolt on the inside of the bed
Got dark before I could get pics of the inside wiring. I will post a sketch of how I wired it up tomorrow. the wiring diagram came from a member here in another post, THANKS azadv for that. Still want to put disconnects on the wires to make removing the topper easier if need be.

Thx a million, Don, for posting this. Your procedure worked perfectly when I installed a LED striplight as an additional third brake light on my 2023 Maverick Lariat. And yes, running the long wire to the other side was a bit of a PITA project as well. I needed (at least it made it easier) to first remove the spare tire. I ordered the Logic Box as you recommended and it makes all the difference to not have the LED strip blink with my turn signals, only when braking. See attached photo.Success!!!!

Good morning I’m having a similar problem with flashing third brake lightFollow-up: Here's the the well-made LED strip I bought on eBay. "Alpena LED Tailgate Strip"
Their instructions say to simply plug the 4-prong plug into your trailer connector but that sucks bc (1) your trailer hook-up is no longer available for a trailer, (2) plugging the LED into that connector makes part of the light strip blink when your turn signals are on which is not desirable, and (3) my Maverick thinks that I have a trailer connected to my truck and disables my backup camera. UGH! All those problems disappear once you connect the wires as you showed above, except that with the 4-wire LED strip light you would (1) cut off the wire to the running lights, (2) twist or otherwise connect both the Left and Right turn signal wires together and connect them to the RED wire on the logic box. Finally connect the Ground wire from the LED strip to the BLACK wire on the logic box. Works like a charm. Thanks again.
I think I have a solution for the leaking of my cap, it's in the corners in the front, just haven't taken it off yet to try my fix. I think tapping the bed brake lights with the module would be much easier than taping the third brake light on the truck? The module I got is still working fine after 6-7 months. I'm more worried about the brake light on the cap going bad and not workingGood morning I’m having a similar problem with flashing third brake light
did this module work long term ?
I am thinking about doing the same
my local mechanic had a simple solution tap the high brake light from the outside have the wire hang out the bottom and screw the housing back on . Then since my cap leaks anyway Drill small wire size hole to run it to the brake light from.then caulk or electrical putty the hole !

How do you like the topper? Was the third brake light a 3 wire or 2 wire? I noticed you got 2 wire connectors. I recently got a version of this topper and the third brake light is 3 wire. I assume 1 is brake lights, 1 is maybe some sort of running light, and last is neg. Curious if you had any insight. I haven’t gotten around to testing the wires.

Love the old school testing!!!! DM me your address if you want a couple electrical connectors and I’ll toss some in the mail to you. Makes it nice when you need to remove the capOkay. Thanks. I just tested the wires with a 9v battery. Red blue green. Red and blue seem to do the same thing no noticeable difference. Probably just use one wire.
For the price honestly it’s not bad. I’m happy with the purchase. It’s only been couple weeks. How do you like the topper?
Mine is so dark I can only see out of it in bright daylight. Let us know how it works out.For the folks with one of these toppers, does everyone have super dark tint on the back glass? I’m wanting to attempt to remove it and replace it with something less dark.
