Alibaba topper

I got the 3rd brake light module today. Going to attempt hooking up the brake light on the topper after work. please keep your fingers crossed............

-Took out both brake lights (kinda a PIA)
-Right side tapped into the GRAY/VIOLET wire from the plug that attaches to the light, not any wires on the light itself
-ran that wire under the truck to the left brake light area.
-left side tapped into the WHITE/GREEN wire (again from the plug, not the light) and attached to the logic box, and also attached the wire from the right side to the logic box
-3rd brake light power wire to the logic box
-3rd brake light ground wire to the logic box along with another wire that I grounded to the truck (found a nut that fit on a bolt on the inside of the bed
Got dark before I could get pics of the inside wiring. I will post a sketch of how I wired it up tomorrow. the wiring diagram came from a member here in another post, THANKS azadv for that. Still want to put disconnects on the wires to make removing the topper easier if need be.

Added disconnects for the brake light and dome light for the topper this evening. Bought a kit without wires, took some patience to get things done, but turned out ok. Was able to hide the wiring fairly well under the plastic trim on the bed.

Was on Alibaba this AM and checked the Camper Topper like yours, and reviews showed nothing but "super happy customer comments". Impressive the packaging kept most everything scratch free....considering the distance and ocean bouncing.

I just got a promotion that comes with a company vehicle so I’m now in a dilemma. I may have to sell this before even get my truck.

If anyone has attempted putting longer shocks on the back of the topper (to raise the opening height) please chime in with how it worked out. I don’t want to be the first person to attempt it

Longer shocks will have to be mounted in a different location. With the back door closed my shocks have about 3/8" from being completely compressed

Where exactly did you order that from? It looks just like the one on the Green Mav. Looks to fit the bed sides well.

Excellent video. My topper is supposed to arrive to the US this week, tomorrow, but I am not holding my breath. I hope you get your Maverick soon. Personally I cant wait to get my topper and get it installed. It is the last big piece to building out my Tremor the way I want it.

ok i'm late to this thread, but that top does look interesting, and a decent price. for those of you who have one, how easy is it to remove and re-attach for moving tall cargo? can 2 folk do it in just a few minutes? still happy with it?
