Hello everyone, this is my first post here, so let me know if I am doing anything wrong.

I've had my new 2025 AWD Hybrid Lariat for just over a week now, and I couldn't wait to start designing attachments for it. For this project, I designed and printed an adjustable cargo divider for the stock bed rails out of PETG.

It is very simple in how it works. I designed a T-Nut that slots into the bed rails (meaning you can use it not just for this divider, but to create other attachments as well!), and a bracket that screws onto that nut, which holds the plywood that acts as the divider itself. Then there is a thumbscrew that fits into the holes in the back of the rail, which you can screw in to lock the position in place. When you want to move it, just unscrew both the left and right side, and slide the divider into whatever position you want, then lock it down again with the thumbscrew pin.

The bed divider is a 3/4" sheet of plywood that I cut to size, perhaps not in the neatest way possible, but I do not have a bed cover yet, so I imagine I will have to replace it after a while cause it'll be sitting out in the rain.

The T-Nut currently uses two M5 nuts embedded inside of the print. Set a pause command right before your printer starts printing the layer that will cover the hex hole in the nut, drop them in, and then resume the print. This way the nuts are fully encased within the print. To attach the bracket, all you need is two M5x20mm bolts (per side, 4 bolts and 4 nuts needed for a full build). I can make a few different version to fit other hardware sizes if there is enough interest.

I'd love to hear feedback from everyone, especially ideas for improvements or additional attachments. You can check out the thingiverse page here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7029658

Edit 5/13/25: I think adding a hole through the parts of the brackets that hold the plywood so you can bolt through it to hold the plywood off the floor of the bed would make it much easier to slide back and forth. Right now, mine keeps gitting a bit caught on it. I'll try to get that changed on the models this evening

Would anyone be interested in alternative attachment ideas using this T-Nut design?

I love this design! I installed unistrut for my bedrails. I have been trying to come up with a similar idea with the added ability to rotate it 90 degrees to bring the divider horizontal.

Would appreciate all ideas!

Good on you for designing and sharing this, I can see this being a handy little mod for those who have the factory bed rails.

I'm sure I've seen unistrut t-mounts but I can't remember what I searched to find them. I had been intending to make a workbench and they looked like the perfect thing.

Great Idea, but I have a suggestion if you're taking them. Change the threaded lock to a spring-action pull mechanism similar to the flexbed pull you have. To add the spring, you could move the thread to the other side of the bolt to allow the initial installation of the spring and a an adjustable stop to mess with tension or build a slot in it for a retainer clip post-spring addition and keep the rest of the assembly smooth.

Always looking for good 3d prints for my life, though. Might throw this on.

Total sidenote, thingiverse is a terrible site. They've been hacked in the past and the UX is junk. Highly recommend another hosting option like thangs or something.

Good idea for the spring-action pull mechanism. I had originally thought about trying something similar, but this seemed easier to start with. I'll try to make some iterations on the design to incorporate it. Also, thanks for the info on thingiverse, I'll get the designs posted to thangs, cults3d, etc... after work today.

Thanks for designing and uploading (including the step files). Still waiting on my truck, but will have these printed and ready. Also, it will be fun using the nut/etc model to come up with other ideas. Once again, thanks for the model files and keep on modeling!

I have the Ford bed divider, one thing on that one is a cable tie down from the divider to the rail system, so in case the divider comes loose it will be still connected to the truck. Nice design btw.

Going to mount some sort of attachment cable tonight as soon as I can. Thanks for mentioning that 😅

Hello, I think that's a great idea and it looks very nice. I am interested in one, what is the price going to be? Thanks for the idea 👍

Great idea, I was just starting to think along these lines too since the Ford one is so expensive. Would it be possible to have the hex nut hole go all the way through the back so you can just press it in instead of trying to time the print just right as I usually fire these things off and come back when they are done.

Currently waiting for this console insert tray to finish: https://www.printables.com/model/1189829-ford-maverick-console-tray

I just added a tonneau cover so I had to modify the brackets to have them stick out farther as I had to cut the board down in width a bit. Pulled them out .8 inches and left the heavy shoulder for some extra strength.
