Got mine from @P99 and finally got around to installing it after cleaning the area. Popped right in with no issues. I went for the vented one.

If only the mavericks were made and shipped as fast. Finally got my maverick to install the one I have had on my shelf for the past few months.

Nice! Cover and Mav look good together!
FYI there is an updated version of the vented cover. I know the Real Designer if you want the new version!
:)
I also think the semi-transparent version will look good on the Mav, anytime you want some.......

I have had a few of these sitting on the shelf since I made some test prints. I think it will work just fine as well. 🙂 but thanks for the offer.

Just got my solid cover delivered yesterday from @P99Guy and it is excellent quality. It was well protected in its packaging. I don’t think I could have designed and printed it any better myself back when I was 3D printing often. Thanks for creating these for us and putting in the work to get them shipped out quickly and at a reasonable cost.

Got my vented cover from @P99Guy this week as well and couldn't agree more about the quality and packaging. I bought the knockoff one before I knew about the real one and had promptly thrown it in the trash since it didn't even snap in all the way. The OG design I got from David snapped right in and is much much better quality. Thanks again!

Hey @P99Guy, thanks for the vented tailgate cap: snapped right in, nice and tight (just the way we like things to be). I apparently bought two so I'm going to give the spare one away to one lucky Macomb County Club member.

I will look but you should have only been billed for 1. I don’t remember our conversation (I’m old) but if I sent 2 there was a reason.
Thank you for choosing the Original!

I received an opaque white one (which I installed today) and a black one, which is the one I'm planning to give away...unless you want it back. I checked and I ordered (and paid for) one opaque white cover and received a black cover as well.

Nope it was just a bonus. Enjoy!
The black was slightly off color so I randomly throw those in.

I tried to read through the multiple threads on the development. First of all, very impressive and thanks for your efforts! I didn't find an explanation of vented vs solid. Obviously, I know the difference, but do you have specific reasons or use cases for either one?

The real reason was so everyone could have a choice.

There are those that think the 2 holes were put there by Ford for Ventilation of the tailgate.
I believe they are there only to allow assembly robots to install the camera module and electric locking mechanism. The tailgate has a series of holes along the lowest point to allow water to escape and air to flow. The need for a designer to include 2 differently sized rectangular holes in the tailgate right next to each other makes no real sense other than manufacturing.
If they were indeed for airflow then they would have been placed on opposite sides of the tailgate.

Just my 2 cents. I use a solid on my Wife's truck....

I got the vented ones for air flow reasons, but I think your right @P99Guy about the air flow. Now, I see there's a problem with water getting in those holes when washing out the bed. I think the solid ones are the answer, although you could just put the tail gate in the half way position when washing out the bed. That's what I plan to do as I already have the vented cover.
