I seriously considered a Bronco Sport, but the 1.5 Ecoboost was a no-go. Plus, I couldn't imagine hauling 20 bags of river rock, each weighing 50 pounds, in a Bronco. Today, I was loading 6 pine straw bales and 8 bags of black mulch. Life is good with my '24 Lariat 2.0 Ecoboost with towing package.

I had the 1.5 EB in the BS BB I had before the Maverick and to be Honest it wasn't bad with the JMS Pedal Max. Now it didn't run nearly as strong as the 2.0 EB in My current Maverick but it did get 2-3 MPG better Fuel Mileage than the Maverick.

I have to say, that looks sharp! You won't regret it. We used to have a Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks and it was a great car. For a 3-cylinder turbo, it had decent get-up and go. Also, the fuel economy wasn't half-bad. I averaged 34-35 mpg on a road trip from Florida to Connecticut and back. Being yours is the Badlands, that'll have the same 2.0L Ecoboost from the Maverick. So, even more power and torque.

As nice as that car was, we later traded it for a Jeep Wrangler. We wanted something with more capability and can confidently drive in the snow as we're planning on moving to the Northeast in the near future. Here's a glimpse of ours...

You’ll be happy with your move. Been there, done that.

Told the sales person that I'm an old person who has gone from an 8 to a 6 to a 4 and ain't ready for no 3. :curse:
There was a pop song about this about a decade ago, wasn't there?

Something like,

It's all about V-8s,
Don't want no six, don't want no four
hawk, V-8 bigot who bought is wife a maverick anyway

I've had Ford trucks for as long as I can remember. I'm a bit older now and my Home Depot runs are few and usually for nuts and bolts. My hauling lumber and stuff for remodeling or rebuilding are over. My SO asked if I really needed a truck and I gave it lots of thought. As of Monday, I'm in a Bronco Sport Badlands. It's pretty much a very updated, 2 foot shorter Maverick with a hatch instead of a bed. I did keep it red. We'll see how it goes. :)

My 2021 base model 3 banger Dragon engine had similar Hp and Tq numbers as the Maverick hybrids combined ICE and electric motors total output.
It was enough power in my mountains. Always just enough. I worked it now and then.

The Ecoboost always feels so relaxed even when I’m climbing.
And yes 121 wheel base handles so much better.

I like the Broncos. Test drove a couple of them when I was car shopping. They were always my second choice if I hadn't found the Maverick I wanted (I did). Best of luck to you with it!
