Anyone know which is the correct chipped-key blank (non-fob), and if it is correctly laser cut, will it at least open the door (manually) and tailgate even if it is not "paired"?
That’s what the Ford Pass app is for.

Thank you for your advice. I'm well aware a Ford pass and have used it. But sometimes (during an outing) I intentionally lock my phone and the key inside the truck. The keypad will work, but I feel more confident when I have an extra dumb key. I've already had two made and they work perfect. When the door opens manually with the dumb key it, sets off the alarm. I then get my regular key from inside the truck and turn off the alarm. I'm sure a lot of people don't want to do this... that's their choice... but this is what I wanted.

Where did you get the extra dumb keys?

Just to confirm, did the transponder key work to program a spare key to start your Maverick? That's what I'm looking for to program a spare now incase I lose a fob some day... Thanks!

The keypad has been deleted on the 2024 Maverick and Bronco Sport.
The keypad is an option on the 2024 Maverick. It is sent to the dealer along with the truck and the dealer does the install. This is listed on the 2024 build page but it does not give a price. I did read in another post that the cost was $230.

Did you finally resolve this? Forget what these other folks are saying. I want a plain transponder key without a keypad and I'm pretty sure I can get it, get it cut and program it myself with the two master keys... but I want to see someone else's success story.

I whitewater kayak and want to be able to hide a non-fob key on the car and carry another one in my life jacket without worrying it will get wet. App only works if you're in AT&T coverage and have your phone. Keypad, yeah I might get an aftermarket one of those too, but I want a non-fob key... actually several of them.
