Never had a power steering rack or pump failure, on any vehicle. I been driving by over 50 years.

Have owned seven Ford products over the years, a couple with over 200k and never a failure in the PS system. Maybe a little seepage in the rack seals, that's all.

To be fair, the car was 10 years old so regardless of miles plastics and rubbers degraded
