Very nice. You went all out on the hardware. For mounting the channel did you use factory holes or did you drill where you had to? I actually have a lot of thick aluminum channel that I could cut down into various heights and lengths for the mounting channel. It's also thick enough to be drilled and tapped. I think I will line the edges where it touches the body with split tubing or something. If you ever get the opportunity you should put your camera on wide angle or fish eye and slowly drive over it while taking a video. I think a lot of people would love to see the overall shape and layout.

Again awesome job.

This is the aluminum channel I have. Came from a bridge. I use it for all kinds of stuff!

All factory holes, I didn't need to drill or cut anything on the truck. The slotted holes already in the frame stiffeners and body are actually the same size as strut channel slotted holes. The anchors are for further back, once the plate needs to extend past the cab. The spacers are to keep line and wire clearances when the plate deforms under load, and to have something to compress the plate into for the anchor mounts. I can take more detailed pictures of each layer over the weekend then update the thread.

Low profile aluminum strut channel to mount 1/8" aluminum plates to the frame. That's what I replaced the felt with.

Wow, that looks great.
The felt is disappointing, but you ended up with something better even compared to a real factory skid plate.

Here are some pictures of the plates and channel before I changed the outer run to 13/16" height. Unfortunately I didn't find time to remove the plates over the weekend for updated channel mount pictures. The front plate is cut to allow the evap canister shield to pass through.

I like the use of the strut both on the truck and on the work bench.
Interesting stuff in the background photos, tools, bags, slings, hoist chains, I Beam, impeller.
Reminds me of one a pump station
