Does anyone happen to know if there are any RCA inputs on the back of the infotainment system in the Maverick? I’d like to know if it’s possible to add another camera to the system? Why? Because if the tailgate is down you lose your backup camera. I would like to add another camera at the back of my cab which can be accessed if the tailgate is in the down position, serving as a secondary back up camera. Thanks for any insight!

I think a cab-mounted rear view camera as "metalman329" describes is a great idea.

When I put a load of pressure-treated wood in my Maverick (yes, it is my first truck) I wished I had a way to check that the load was secure other than pulling off the road every 10 miles.

Don't get me wrong, I get it and it sure would be useful. But I think it's one of those things that if you had a truck you just are used to it.

Ratchet straps are your friend. But I understand the caution especially if it's new to you.

I followed advice from this forum - used more straps than I thought necessary, and when I was done I tugged on the straps experimentally and said out loud, "That's not going anywhere!"

Got a lot of strange looks from people in the Home Depot parking lot.

They weren't strange looks. They were "aww look, it's his first "ain't goin". I remember those days"

Some might have been criticizing your form.

How many tugs did you do? Did you add a pat on the truck? Were you 4.5 steps back away from the truck? Hands on hips or hands in pocket? Did you rub your forehead with or without taking off your hat? Did you clap your gloves together after you took them off or are you a hand duster?

Generally it's more about the anchor points and angle. 1 good strap is better than a handful of bad ones. I'm used to throwing dirtbikes in the bed and over the years it's progressively gotten easier and easier with less tie downs
