thanks for the feedback! and links.

I ma leaning towards just having them do the SIBL adding heated seats and maybe even window tinting.
I have the SIBL as well as the rubber mat. It helps a lot if you are ever kneeling in the bed.
Heated seats are very nice in the Maverick, the stock ones cover a good bit.

If you do window tint make sure it is high UV and IR blocking film. It will make a huge difference.

Let me ask you fine folks a few questions before I join the club with a 24 XL hybrid w/ 360 co.

1. one of my biggest concerns is down hill decent on windy steep winter roads. my work commute goes over a busy steep mountain pass up to 10% grade.
i'll have proper winter tires of course...but coming from a maul car where I can shift down in to 3rd or even 2nd to not ride the breaks and my jeep that is automatic but has pattle shifters to shift down. i am use to down shifting to handle the road

so how to does the hybrid handle this. are we expected to just ride the breaks? I understand regen. breaking but often times you dont want to be breaking around an icy corner etc.

SO is there a way to put the mav. in a slower/lower "gear" so the truck does not run away on you?
Watch this video from TFL:

Owning my Mav barely a month and I'm quite impressed with how the truck holds speed downhill in Slippery Mode. There's one really steep hill I drive daily. At the bottom of it is a roundabout 200 yards away. If I go over the top at 35 mph the truck regen holds it until l get to the bottom without needing to brake.

-Defintely the tailgate damper.
-I like Line-X spray in bedliner. I had Line-X in my 22 Mav EB. My 24 hybrid Lariat came with the Ford product and I prefer Line-X. Aftermarket coverage is better than the way Ford does it - Ford doesn't coat the top rail under the rear window nor do they coat the entire tailgate.

Ford charges $495 for the SIBL. For my 22 EB, I showed that to my Line-X dealer, said I would pay cash - and it was a deal at $495 USD.

Since you are in snow country, you may want mud flaps. The area behind the left rear wheel is wide open and accumulates crud.

If you have any coin left, consider: Ford Maverick Matte Black Center Radio Console Frame Trim Cover, $16. While it says "fits 22-23..." it fits '24's. Search eBay, the URL is too long to include. It is stick-on, no removal or tools required. Classes up the interior "bigly."

My 24 hybrid runs a little quieter using 91 octane. For me, the electric sounds of the hybrid system disappeared at about the 2000 mile mark - it was fully broken in.

Granted, I live in a mild coastal climate, but I have not had any issues in 2,200 miles with the hybrid sytem, battery etc.
Ford did my top rail and all of the tailgate.

Hi Joshoc88 - It is good to see that Ford improved the way it sprays bedliner. From your photo I can tell they omitted the oval Ford logo that was formerly ['24 and earlier] added to the SIBL which is not a loss. But as you show, they did the top rail and more of the tailgate, both areas are what really matter so good for Ford.

The 25s have a few nuances vs the previous gen, but im sure it depends on dealer as to how well the job is done. What you described is not what I've seen from my dealer in the past, luckily. I spotted this thread the other day and noticed mine was covered when i picked up mulch.

Joshoc88 - Question: Was your SIBL done by the dealer or did it come with SIBL from the factory?

On my '22, I did LineX aftermarket SIBL [paid $500 cash] on my Mav and LineX sprayed the upper rail behind the rear window and the entire tailgate, both as you describe.

Let me ask you fine folks a few questions before I join the club with a 24 XL hybrid w/ 360 co.
Answers inline.
1. one of my biggest concerns is down hill decent on windy steep winter roads. my work commute goes over a busy steep mountain pass up to 10% grade.
i'll have proper winter tires of course...but coming from a maul car where I can shift down in to 3rd or even 2nd to not ride the breaks and my jeep that is automatic but has pattle shifters to shift down. i am use to down shifting to handle the road
I drive a long 7% grade every day.
If you ride the brakes lightly all the way down, you're not using the friction brakes at all. You're using the battery recharge load to slow you down.
If you put cruise control on, it will hold the speed by recharging the battery with the excess energy.
If you use the L button to get one-foot driving, it will slow using the battery recharging load down to almost nothing just by getting off the accelerator.
so how to does the hybrid handle this. are we expected to just ride the breaks? I understand regen. breaking but often times you dont want to be breaking around an icy corner etc.
On ice, your winter ice tires should be gripping. If you didn't buy ice-rated tires or are braking really hard, then your TCS should be keeping you on the road.
SO is there a way to put the mav. in a slower/lower "gear" so the truck does not run away on you?
The Mav has pretty decent engine braking. If that's not enough, hit the L button.
2. for those of you have have got spry in bed liners do you like it. really thinking about this...
I got a SIBL from LINE-X. It works great. On both of my Rangers I had the plastic DIBL, and they too were great. People with axes to grind whine everywhere about rust forming underneath the DIBL but I never had any at all. Maybe they had rustbucket Chevys...
3. best cover for the back? I am thinking a try fold but not sure it;s worth the 1k IDK
Get a hard trifold flip-back one. They are strong under snow loads and you can put stuff temporarily up there while loading. They are hard to break into, so your load is safe from a pocket knife on a soft top. The Ford one and many American brands are way overpriced. I paid CDN$575 including install and taxes (about US$410) for my excellent Bison tonneau cover.
4. is the key pad worth it? that was a add on i was going to get but reading on here where some are having trouble with it.
Realistically you'll never use it until you leave your keyfob in the locked vehicle some day. Then its like gold.
5. best useful or must have accessories both inside and out.
Get the centre console storage trays. The box is way too deep to be useful otherwise.
Get a rear seat cover. You won't believe how many times it is easier to drop your groceries or tools into the back seat than in the bed.
Get the raised lettering for the tailgate off Amazon cheap.
Get one of the brands of deep rubber mats off Amazon. The Ford ones do not go up the sides far enough and cost twice as much.
Get a cigarrette lighter receptacle off Amazon to wire up the 12V power available at the FITS covers at the very back of the bed.
