Keep the faith ...... your patience to be rewarded.

Check with the dealer? What did they say? Do you have the retail order sheet?

Mine took about 10 months. Original order was in June and I upgraded to a Lariat with the luxury package in July.

It does seem like a baby, LOL!

July 14th order + 9mons = April 15th.

April 25th is what Ford expected for delivery but mine is still in Shipped status. Dealer is looking out for it.

The baby comparison is spot-on in more ways than one.
The day mine was delivered the dealer messaged me, "it's still in transit" in the morning (I'd been checking every couple days at this point with only a week-long expected delivery window), and then a few hours later, "Great news, your truck is here!"

I wonder why you guys haven't gotten yours or even just a build date. I ordered a Hybrid XLT as well August 12th and picked mine up Jan 19th. Details in my signature. For those that are still waiting, what options did you get? In guessing constraints is a big reason, as well as allocations.
Hang in there though. Your will get your Mav sooner or later, and I'm hoping sooner.

Ordered 7/29/21 ... XLT Hybrid + Lux + Copilot + floor mats.
First dealer emailed in Nov 2021 asking if I was willing to drop in Lux package as some of the Lux package chips are short and will cause delay... I replied that dropping the Lux package is not and option and dealer said that i might cause 3-4 month delay ... I said OK
Then Ford emailed saying the some of the chips are in short supply and that if I needed to expedited the process, I might have to think about dropping some of the items on the hybrid and call the dealer to discuss. I did not call the dealer. I want the truck the way I ordered.
Last week I called the Ford marketing number and spoke to one of the reps. He said that my order is still in process BUT I have been assigned a VIN # ..... WooHoo for that ....
Does anyone know the timeline between VIN assignment and production scheduling and finally delivery.

That's hit or miss I received my vin Feb 14th. Then got a production date of April 12th and a build date of April 14th.

And now I'm in "delivery" status which could be another month

I would check the asbuilt site. That's a great indication of the status of your truck. Once all your PCMS are activated it's only a matter of days before your truck has built

Just called Ford to see if by chance there was any update. Of course not but the only bone that was tossed my way (if it can be trusted) is once you receive your VIN it should be delivered in 8 weeks. So with that info I will be at 12 months "IF" I get my VIN within the next 11 days.
