That is very nicely done. Both the results and the tutorial. Good job.

I like it, but just get a build thread going already. I want one place to see all of this build coming together o_O

I’ll be for sure doing this once I get mine

Good job on figuring out it’s the same as the Ranger

I love that the Maverick shares so many parts with other vehicles

Wow, I hadn't even noticed the non-painted handle on my Lariat. I think the chrome one will work for me, it will match the chrome on the emblem that way. I'd also like to do chrome door handle covers but I'm worried the key-less access may not work with a handle cover.

How's the best way to go about buying one? Through my dealer maybe? I'd think I can handle replacing it myself though;)

Another option, if people just want chrome, or black platinum, they can just do the Ranger applique if they don't want to swap or wrap handles. Goes right over. A little pricey, though. Click on photos to link to E-Bay listings.

I saw those as well. I went with the complete handle just because it was cheaper. I actually would have preferred one of those covers though as it would have been easier for me to wrap. Wrapping the entire handle was a little tricky, I've got a few transition areas that the vinyl isn't the prettiest up close.
I like the way yours turned out. These are expensive. I paid $35 for a set for my Lincoln Mark LT pickup. $60 is kinda rich.

Why not just wrap the original handle if you where going to wrap anyway?

A little off topic, but how hard is it to wrap a part? and how long does it last?
Thinking about wrapping the bar on the grill, saw another thread where someone painted there's to color match and love the look

I haven't really wrapped anything more complicated than door handles, mirror caps, emblems and some other smaller objects. I'm learning as I go but I still limit myself to smaller items. With this handle I failed on my first go of the base of the handle. I had to scrap the vinyl, cut a new piece and start over.

The grill bar might be a pretty complicated item to start out with. You'd likely want to order 3-4 times more vinyl than you'd anticipate, just in case. As far as longevity, I think 5 years is likely reasonable for outdoor applications. If it were me, I'd probably just seek a professional paint job on something like the grill.
Thanks for the reply. Wasn't planning on doing the grill bar but after seeing these pics its something I like to look into. May wait and see about just painting the bar later on.
